Sharonbw stands with Minnesota

A very belated good morning. Instead of my usual posting and scrolling I've been on the phone with my sister going over final details on this weekend's trip. (I think we set a record for phone call length.) Now I'm all discombobulated - I dislike when real life gets in the way.

So now that almost half my day is gone, I'll take a breath and regroup. I think the first thing I'll do is check in and see what you all have been doing. Priorities!

Good morning! Sun is shining brightly on our frozen landscape. I appreciate it's help on day 2 of the big dig out.

The birds are a little less frantic this morning. They're learning to cope with having very few places to forage. I've already refilled the feeders and spread some seed on the ground for the ground feeders. Meanwhile a few mourning doves are attempting to land on the window feeders. One has managed the nearly impossible and he deserves a gold Olympic medal.

Happy #SofaSunday! Like many others we're expecting more snow + wind than we can handle. I've decided it's futile to check in with my weather app any more after snow totals went up overnight to over 12". After all, does it matter if it's 10" or 16"? It's going to be a pain to deal with. Around here it means kids will be lucky to get to school by Wednesday.

We'll get through it. Eventually we'll see the ground again. But 2026 just keeps adding " just one more thing" to deal with.

Good #SlackerdaySaturday! The sun is out today! Yippee! That’s the good news. The bad news is that I woke up to a winter storm watch for tomorrow through Monday, with possible snow totals of 6-9” and winds of 45 mph. Where did THAT come from?! That’s a serious amount of snow for this area. I guess winter isn’t done with us yet. I’m planning to take an extra long walk today to enjoy the outdoors while I easily can. Other than that we’re as prepared as we can be. #Today

Good morning + happy #Slackerday. The weather is again encouraging us to stay inside and relax. Between the cold and strong wind, spending time outside is out of the question. Thankfully, our snow accumulations have been downgraded. With luck we'll escape most snow. Last night my granddaughter and I made a batch of cookies to split between us. She and her friends have a planned get-together this afternoon if the weather cooperates. Husband is happy since the cookies are his favorite. #Today
