Although maybe not.
Because if the American Revolution was about anything, above all else, it was ensuring the ability of the landed aristocracy to direct, and at will, the sum power of the collective to achieve its aims. The rabble can agitate and die, but they can not vote. The ability to establish the direction of the nation must be reserved for landowners alone.
So in that respect, the "rebellious" aspect of the revolution is long dead. But the actual goal has categorically been realized.

This is what's so funny about these "No Kings" protests:
The United States is absolutely owned and operated by unelected Titans of Industry - Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Sam Altman, Larry Ellison, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Fink, Alex Karp, Jamie Dimon. These are the individuals who direct the obligations, efforts and outcomes of the American Republic. "Votes" have almost nothing to do with it and believing otherwise borders on the juvenile.

So, when I hear "it's all about the midterm [elections]" all I am hearing is, "We need Democrats back in power to initiate a quieter, more respectable level of fascism that allows us to pretend that things are progressing in the right direction when we're actually just paving the runway for the next Republican goblin."
And this is all based on the history of the matter. So if you have a problem with the analysis, then your problem isn't me, it's the Party that you stump for every single time.
