The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has warned the United States and its allies against any miscalculation in the Persian Gulf, as US President Donald Trump renewed his threats against the Strait of Hormuz.

The IRGC Navy said in a post on X that any wrong move by the US and its allies will plunge them “into a deadly whirlpool of destruction in the Strait.”

The IRGC has restricted the Persian Gulf waterway after the US-Israeli illegal war of aggression on Iran on February 28.

The Iranian elite military force, which has full authority over the waterway, allows only civilian vessels to pass under specific regulations.

According to Tasnim correspondent dispatched to Islamabad, the talks between the Iranian and American teams ended a few minutes ago and the two sides have not reached an agreement due to the US team’s excessive demands and ambitions.

Grenada Solidarity with Cuba campaign was officially launched on April 9, 2026, as the Caribbean nation announced a large-scale initiative to support its longtime ally facing the intensified US economic blockade. Since Wednesday when Iran and the US announced a 15-day ceasefire which included Lebanon in a 41-day war, the Israeli regime has targeted various areas throughout the Arab country, killing at least 254 people and wounding 1,165 others.

“Renewed aggression by the Zionist regime against Lebanon blatantly violates the initial ceasefire,” Pezeshkian wrote in a post on his X account on Thursday.

Pakistan has confirmed that Lebanon is included in the ceasefire it mediated. Israel and the US, however, claim the ceasefire does not include Lebanon, with Israel announcing it will continue its attacks on the country.

“Such actions signal deception and non-compliance, rendering negotiations meaningless,” President Pezeshkian said. “Our hands remain on the trigger. Iran will never forsake its Lebanese brothers and sisters,” he added.

A new Pew Research Center survey, released on 7 April, shows rising negative sentiment among US citizens toward Israel and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with majorities now expressing unfavorable views and declining confidence in leadership.

The study was conducted from 23–29 March among 3,507 US adult citizens.

Six in 10 respondents report an unfavorable view of Israel, up from 53 percent last year, while the number of those holding a “very unfavorable” view has also surged, nearly tripling since 2022.

Confidence in Netanyahu has followed a similar downward trajectory, with around 59 percent saying they have little or no confidence in him “to do the right thing regarding world affairs.”

Russia’s former president, Dmitry Medvedev, says Iran’s undisputed command over the Strait of Hormuz has become its true “tested nuclear weapon” that forced the United States to retreat.

Iran and the US agreed to a two-week ceasefire on Tuesday after Donald Trump was forced to accept a 10-point proposal from Tehran. This proposal includes a permanent end to the war, the lifting of all sanctions, and the withdrawal of US combat forces from the region.

Hours after the announcement, Medvedev—currently Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council—wrote on X, “It’s not clear how the truce between Washington and Tehran will play out.”

“But one thing is certain—Iran has tested its nuclear weapons. It is called the Strait of Hormuz. Its potential is inexhaustible,” Medvedev added.
