Logically, I know nothing has changed.
But having resolved to quit but not having the nerve to do so, and having been given an ultimatum to resign, are turning out to be two very different things.
I still feel like I've failed by not just going back to that job, but the fact that my back was starting to complain just from the time I spent standing while discussing this with the supervisor is telling me what the real failure would probably be.
Gonna try to use this to motivate me to try harder to find something I can actually do, but right now I really just want to give up.
