@apc@starside.social I had three great choices from one show, but I’m picking Anna’s unrequited love for Sosuke from Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines. In urging Sosuke to go after Karen before she leaves for school in England, Anna realizes the feelings she’s always had for him. They’re childhood friends and she always thought they would end up together. This really hits home as she joins the unwitting observer Kazuhiko (and eats his food) while explaining everything.

@apc@starside.social My pick for hidden gems is Granbelm, featuring magical girls, mecha and fighting. It’s an anime original that didn’t get much press when it was released the summer of 2019. What really sets it apart for me is the execution. The first episode draws you in with a no holds barred fight and the second focuses on the characters (primarily our main protagonist Mangetsu) and world building. It’s all done very, very well and it only gets better from there! 😎 (a-p rank 15,462)
