The plan was to temper the stress of #USpol by having a small gathering at our house this evening with close friends, as a sort of mutual moral support while catching up on events which happened during Australia's workday.
Alas, venturing out from my self-enforced social isolation to attend a local event this past weekend was enough to land me with #COVID for a 2nd time since 2020 - despite masking, multiple nasal disinfectants, eating outdoors, the whole shebang.
Now I get to watch the race while semi-delirious with a fever, and feeling decidedly worse about society as a whole. 🤒
