I’m just feeling tired. Bone weary. There’s so much out there right now that’s screwed up and wrong that it’s hard to remember there’s a lot right as well. #Caturday posts help. I often wish I were a cat, I’d get all my needs met, get petted all the time, and the only thing I’d have to worry about is why is my human so late with the treats? Even with all this, I still believe in the power of prayer. Faith is a hard thing. When I wake up tomorrow morning that will be a victory. Take care of yourselves, everyone. #GoodNight

It has been several generations since cigarette commercials appeared on TV and Radio here in the United States. An act of Congress bannned them back in 1970. But, I’m so old, I remember when they were around in proliferation. This morning, quite randomly, a memory swam up into my consciousness, dating from, as best I recall, from kindergarten days, riding the bus to school, and a bunch of us belting out Winstons taste good like a cigarette should.

Right now, this morning, I feel like I want to be 10 years old again, where people make hard and complicated life decisions for me. I kind of feel like I’m flunking adulthood right now. I’m going to go attend a webinar while lying down, with video off of course, and work on a reboot.

Mindly.social has been down, by my count, four times in the past week. This has been my home for the time I’ve been on Mastodon, and until this week I never considered changing instances. Now, though, I guess I need to keep evaluating if this will become a regular occurrence. I’ve been curious for a while about the instances who have as much as 10000 characters for a character limit, but I never see myself writing a book as a post. Anyway, I’m just musing here out of frustration for the times I’ve wanted to say something and can’t because my instance is down.
