So what exactly happened to that witches.town instance? All I got from scrolling through the federated timeline was that it's dead.

I've had a lot of school work recently but I just finished it off. Now I have more time to do my own writing, I've been waiting so long for a chance to get back to my Smash Bros fanfic.
I now have an Archive of Our Own account. Just uploaded my Super Smash Brothers fanfic there. I'm hoping I can get back to working on the second chapter by next week (I have too many writing connected real life responsibilities this week).

I know that I should be staying away from pre-release discussions of Smash Switch but I care too much to ignore it. Then I get angry because nobody seems to understand that Smash Bros is a Nintendo fighting game, not a general video game crossover.
On that note why do so many people seem to hate the idea of non-popular characters in Smash when that describes half of the characters already in the game? I love meeting new characters through Smash.
Confession: I went through and took screenshots of a Facebook thread about banning Cloud in Smash 4 doubles.
Communities like this don't have too many attempts to chronicle their history (or at least it feels like that to me) so I wanted a primary source on the Cloud debate for posterity. It doesn't matter to most people but it matters to me.
I'm not one of those people who think Zelda NEEDS another rep (the amount of representation it has already is fine) but I think Ganon would be the best choice for a new Zelda fighter.
For obvious reasons he'd be using his design from A Link to the Past, but his inclusion would be riding off of Breath of the Wild making him the main villain again. So Ganon would represent both the early and current state of Zelda, in contrast to other Zelda fighters representing just one game.
Looks like the potential newcomer I'll be writing about in chapter 2 of my Smash Bros #fanfic is Spring Man. His interactions with Wii Fit Trainer(s?) are going to be hilarious.

I was never that into Paragon but I'm impressed by how the developers have handled the shut down. They're going out with dignity and clearly thinking of their fans with this move.
So I made a Fanfiction.net account and uploaded a #Smashbros fanfic now that we're in the pre-release stage for Smash Switch. Just a warning, for some reason Fanfiction.net doesn't seem to believe in indentations.
Anyone know of good websites for posting fan fiction that aren’t Fanfiction.net or Archive of our Own?
@minego@mastodon.social Already done. Super Princess Peach.
My favorite thing about Smash Bros fanfiction (and crossovers in general) is all of the interesting interactions that can come out of it. I have some scenes with Mewtwo and Peach that have been floating in my head for years that I'm just dying to write down.
The recent news has made me return to the subject that got me started on writing in the first place, Super Smash Brothers fanfiction.
@musicman You're probably thinking of Duke Nukem Forever with all of those D titles.
I think that in addition to crushing my drive to play any other video game Xenoblade 2 has also made it difficult for me to write when I could play more Xenoblade 2 instead. Curse this game for being good in so many different ways.
Me trying to predict what happens next in Xenoblade 2 after all of my theories about the plot have been disproven.
Persona 2: Innocent Sin is my favorite Greek tragedy.
I was frustrated and having trouble starting a school essay because the teacher expects us to discuss Aristotle's views on tragedy as they related to Oedipus Rex without us actually reading the Poetics. A single sentence isn't much to go off on for a seven page at minimum essay.
Then I realized I could just read the Poetics myself. I never thought I'd be complaining about not being assigned a reading but here we are. This week has really made me question the quality of my college.
My theory about Jin just lost a lot of footing. They could pull a 'Addam changed his name to Jin and became evil' plot twist but I don't feel like that's it. I think it's more likely that Jin was the man who ascended the world tree and/or Malos' driver.
Also Vandham's death had me so pissed off that when Mythra reduced Obrona to a Core Crystal I was cheering, especially when Akhos was despondent over it. Suffer you self-important asshole.
