It's truly staggering to realize that almost every article in today's business section details the catastrophic worldwide implications of one man's psychopathology - his narcissism, infantile impulsiveness, lack of principles or empathy - and of an entire party's deference to his indefensible whims and wars.

Just imagining the names of other, larger companies in place of "BuzzFeed"...

Not from The Onion. It's real - and further evidence of how AI (as wielded by for-profit companies) can transform education.

BTW, their website says "Featured on [sic] the NY Post" even though the Post's article is titled "Reading for Idiots" and it quotes an expert who calls it "alarming."

Along with English teachers, fiction writers - well, all good writers - might as well call it a day if this sort of thing catches on.
Or, as the app itself would reword this critique: "Magibook bad."

"Teacher shortage" (e.g., in AK, AZ, FL MI) is shorthand for "shortage of teachers willing to work under crappy conditions and/or for insufficient pay."

More generally, as author Garret Keizer reminds us, "Our entire economic system rests on the principle of paying people less than their labor is worth."
