Seeing a conference organizer ask for non-AI topics because they received far too many proposals for that track (and not so many for the others) is… I'm not sure what the right word is, but it feels like a mix of sadness, satisfaction, disappointment, joy, and uncertainty about the future.
Do you like anagrams and HTML? Then you’ll enjoy this puzzle!
https://comicss.art/games/20/
ABCnagrams are anagrams with a twist: there are 26, each missing a different letter of the alphabet. Can you figure out which letter is needed to solve each anagram and reveal the HTML tag?
Trying something slightly different this April: I'll publish a new game every day.
Most of them will be Branches games (similar to NYT's Strands, but always CSS- or web-themed).
You can find all the games here: https://comicss.art/games/
New game: Branches https://comicss.art/games/15/
(topic/hint: Red-Letter Day)
https://bezoscalculator.com just turned 5.
It probably needs some updates, but I’m not sure I want to do it.
It would just show the same thing, but amplified: everything growing faster, everything getting bigger…
...except minimum wage.
That's still the same as when I launched the site.
This city is built with CSS. No SVG. No images. No HTML. Just gradients... and a bit of patience.

I haven't touched this in a while, but it still holds up. I'd love to expand it into a full city someday.

🎮 New CSS-themed Crossword
https://comicss.art/games/14/
This time it comes with some updates:
- Autosaves so you can continue at a later time
- Checks the crosswords for errors (on demand)
- Prints nicely (this already had, but it's cool 😅)
Works better on desktop. Figuring out the mobile part still.
Do you like NYT's Strands game? Then you will like this week's comiCSS game!
https://comicss.art/games/13/
Find all the CSS themed words and the root word that connects them all. No hints for now, but hopefully this first installment is easy enough not to need them.
The cartoon with characters for today's comiCSS was published here: https://comicss.art/comics/241/
I made a cartoon for comiCSS, wasn't fully convinced by it and created a simpler version using only text... and kind of like it more 😓
New comiCSS game! This week, it is a HTML-themed crossword.

Coded a new crossword for comiCSS (this time HTML themed), and changed the keyboard interactions to make them smoother (but they are still meh in Android 😕). Anyone up to testing it before it goes live?
Today's comiCSS game is a crossword!
https://comicss.art/games/11/
It has 89 CSS terms, and it may be harder than it looks. Think you know CSS? Try it!
You can play directly on the browser (let me know if you find any glitches 👀), or it has print styles to make it easier to put on paper.
I coded a series of optical illusions with CSS and created a small site to showcase them: https://alvaromontoro.github.io/CSS-Optical-Illusions/
You can also see them in a CodePen collection: https://codepen.io/collection/GpWqKk

It's a silly joke but I find it incredibly funny... And what more can you ask for a joke to be that Mario, Zelda, and HTML altogether? I wish I had thought of it for comiCSS.
