This is the Blood Moon again, but this time 30 6-second images stacked. I think it might have gained a little bit in detail, but I might like the color better on the first one.

This was about half an hour after totality. The last decent image I got of it before it disappeared behind the studio over my garage.

In case your sky was cloudy or you just didn't feel like getting up in the middle of the night (which I get), here's what the partial phase of the eclipse looked like.

The first image off my camera of the Blood Moon. This is right at totality, 3:33 a.m. I did very little processing on this. I sharpened it. The light and color are exactly as they came off my camera.

A nice little open star cluster, M93 in Puppis. Somehow this has escaped my attention up until now. This was taken under a nearly full moon, with the light blue background discarded.

Just in case you thought the sun was going to go quietly into solar minimum. This is it today in hydrogen alpha and white light, both color and monochrome. I think I'm just playing because I'm so tired of not being able to take images at night.

The first spotless sun (clear of numbered sunspot regions) since 2022. Assuming it lasts until the end of the day, that is.

A very small planetary nebula called NGC 2392 in Gemini. Also called the Eskimo or Clown Face Nebula. Really too small for my equipment, but sometimes you just have to try.

This is IC 1805, the Heart Nebula, and IC 1848, the Soul Nebula, and if that doesn't put a song in your heart then you just don't have a musical heart.

This is NGC 2359 in Canis Major, also called Thor's Helmet or the Duck Nebula. Why the Duck Nebula, I will never know. I see no duck here.

This is the Alpha Persei Cluster, one of my favorite open clusters. Unfortunately there was a lot of humidity and thin clouds, which created a glow around the bright stars. The brightest is Alpha Persei, also known as Mirfak.
