Ahoy #selfhosting folk! I've a (likely) very silly, noob question for you all. I'm trying to spin up a Joplin instance using Portainer on my Synology NAS. I've managed to almost get it working, in that the stack installs and runs properly, but there's some issue with a setting somewhere where I can't actually get to the Joplin set-up screen. But that's all beside the point.
What I'd like to know is: is it normal for the server running everything to have more or less perpetual read/write noise on its HDDs? I suspect that this is the case, which is pretty annoying since my NAS is in my living room, meaning that self-hosting will likely be a non-starter for the time being. If not, is there a way to make it so that it doesn't do that all the time, but only when actively updating the collaborative whatsits in Joplin itself?
