@MikeGorse@mindly.social Yes and and. Yes; and LLMs commonly build on IP piracy; and assorted other AI systems are resource hogs; and much AI, using LLMs or not, is used ignorantly, with poor control.

#University #Libraries I'm psyched about access to the local university library. UMaryland-College Park has greatly reduced costs for geezers who apply to fill unclaimed seats.
Today I was able to find and legally download the full text of the 2009 English translation of Dialogues of Love, written by Abravanel, a.k.a. Leone Ebreo, in 1535. Here's Renaissance discourse,, admixed with a Sephardic perspective. Imagine meeting such a mind.
Later, I was able to determine that the answers I sought to make UL943's new threshold specifications safer might be had. (I just withdrew a proposal, not having the biomedical engineering savvy, nor access to source data, to intelligently harmonize conflicting numbers.) I learned of a 2025 article in Health Physics, which I'll look up Monday, if the university's libraries are open.
All this, and I'll sit down for my first-ever poetry class, with a highly engaged instructor.
Psyched!.

These worked fine. WW flour, greek yoghurt, some fresh lemon zest and ginger, bicarb, baking powder, egg, peanut butter, chia seed, monkfruit extract, and just a little butternut squash. Light, tasty, and given the baker, of course freeform rather than constrained by muffin tins. I punted an overstressed friend's call while I popped them in the oven cleaned my hands, and emptied my bladder. Then I called her back to reassure her about the likely minor import of her plumbing problem (10:1 odds the drain for her washing machine was clogged, rather than anything more dire), gave her contact info for a reliable plumber, got back downstairs to check the oven and find them just about done. Cool.
