Woever made this image should learn the difference between line spacing and paragraph spacing…
This is an example
of line spacing which
clearly shows it's together
And now this is a new
bit that is separate from
the above bit
Readability is important.

I grew up in DFW and moved away in 2004. It was fine before then, but they let it go to hell by not keeping up with maintenance and repairs. So now it’s a shitty grid. :| Thanks, Republicans.

I get 2-3 contacts per day on Telegram. I used to interact with them to find out what the scam was. Makes sense that it would be multi-layer like that (per the article).
I found that the most common were reviews or adding things to amazon shopping carts to fuel demand, along with some bitcoin / investment (especially silver/gold) stuff.
I eventually realized it was boring. They quickly use AI to reply to you, so no matter what you write you get this encouraging nonsense back that adds nothing. You’re basically talking to yourself. And you can tell when they actually write the reply since the length and quality of the English quickly drops. heh

It was pretty quick. After I heard he passed, I noticed an hour-old notification on my phone from a paper saying he had been taken to hospital an was in "good spirits". So whatever it was was quick.

Ah, geez. I never had that, but in the early 90s when my family moved, I ended up getting jobs at McDonald's and Domino's Pizza. I opened the grill at McD so was up at 4am for a 5am arrival. Worked until like 1pm-2pm, go home, grab a nap, be at Domino's at usually 4:30pm and work until 2am-3am. Although that was usually only a couple of nights per week. I don't remember my exact days off from each, but Domino's was centered around Thu-Fri-Sat and McD was centered around Sun-Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu I think. I know I had 4-5 days at Domino's, but I don't remember now if it was Wed or Sun or both or what. Been too long.
So a couple of days per week I got no sleep, then caught up other days. lol. And that was $4.25/hr. heh

I’m still salty about that.
I posted a really nice ceramic bowl to /r/superbowl as an example of a “superb bowl” and it got removed and I was banned. They told me I didn’t get the joke.
I got the fucking joke. I was making another level of the joke.
I mostly rolled my eyes and moved on. but yeah… I’m still a little salty.

Too late for me, I’ve been Daychilde since 1996, didn’t keep it separate from my real name, and I’m on wikipedia, so it’s trivial to find me. lol.
The good is that I can report that it’s pretty safe to have an open identity. So far. heh

I’m also suspicious that the ransonware attack had anything to do with AI, but I didn’t want to say so because going against the common consensus in threads like this gets me downvoted, so I’d rather not say it if people aren’t going to consider it (and then agree or disagree). heh
Then again, as a user of emdashes^[Thanks to wincompose software since I’m a Windows dude, but on Linux I’d use the compose key] — I suppose I’m under suspucion of being an LLM as well. ;-)
Would you like me to compose responses to any other comments in this thread?^[/s not needed I hope hehe]

Well. It would be the zeroth law, first of all, but the three laws would most definitely not allow humans to die.
The whole point of I, Robot was cases where the three laws were circumvented in various ways.

Hydration is good. If you hydrate a LOT, remember to have some electrolytes in there somewhere. You don't need a lot, but some.
Also, the "eight glasses of water per day" thing was made up whole cloth. It is not medically nor scientifically a thing. The best advise is: Drink when you are thirsty. Unless there's something wrong, that's your body's way of telling you it needs hydration.
That said, if you exercise or get your body's signals confused, thirst might not work perfectly for you. Generally, if you're exercising, bored, hungry - having a glass of water might be just the thing and usually doesn't hurt anything, so give it a go.

Why do people reply to obvious jokes that have emoticons indicating that they are jokes with serious answers?
Did you even catch the typo I was poking fun at?
I'm starting to think people on Lemmy can't read. I'm not attacking you, I'm just frustrated that this is not the first time I've made a very silly post that is obviously very silly and it has whooshed.

I respect all food that's good. I wish everyone else did.
Food transcends borders, evolves, changes, gets better. Embrace it and love it.
Love Italian food with its tomatoes? Tomatoes are surprisingly recent in Italy.
A whole lot of foods we enjoy just evolved from different cultures meeting and getting better.
