The weaponized US Treasury has cancelled contracts with Booz Allen because a contractor leaked information about how the wealthy avoid paying taxes [1].
Unqualified Treasury secretary Scott Bessent said, "Canceling these contracts is an essential step to increasing Americans' trust in government ... Booz Allen failed to implement adequate safeguards to protect sensitive data, including the confidential taxpayer information it had access to through its contracts with the Internal Revenue Service"
However.
1. The incident occurred more than 5 years ago (the contractor was sentenced in 2024 [2]).
2. Booz Allen assisted in the investigation.
3. The criminal conduct occurred on government systems, not Booz Allen's.
This is not justice, this is retribution for disclosing how the wealthy use the system to their advantage in a way the lower classes can't. This shows this administration's priorities: protecting the wealthy. Justice for them, not for you.
