@0x63 Am Ende sind die Ausgangstore eh nur ein Mittel, um ehrliche Leute ehrlich zu halten.
Selbst wenn sie prüfen würden, ob der entsprechende Code tatsächlich kürzlich von einer Kasse erzeugt wurde, könnte ein motivierter Dieb einen Billigartikel scannen, um einen gültigen Code zu bekommen und dann mit viel mehr Ware rausmarschieren.
Das ließe sich nur verhindern, indem das Tor beim Öffnen die Anzahl der Artikel und den Betrag anzeigt und ein Mitarbeiter prüft, ob das ungefähr passt.

@smeg In my personal experience, the best option for native German speakers is to speak French with a really thick German accent and within two sentences they'll tell you in perfect accent-free German that they've lived half their life in Alsace and are currently working for a German company.

@gabek @frameworkcomputer @yvan you may not be but the person I responded to is on an instance that runs Mastodon which is in fact built on RoR.
Your post is not a gotcha but underlining my point: if they dislike DHH so much that even linking to one of his projects warrants such a reaction, they should probably move to an instance that runs on something else - of which there are plenty.

@yvan @frameworkcomputer You're aware that you're posting this on a platform that's built on Ruby on Rails which was originally created by DHH, right?
Sometimes it's okay to appreciate a good piece of software even if you disagree with its creator because honestly, almost every public figure has caused *some* drama in their life. It's not like DHH has commited any serious crime, at least to my knowledge.
