I'm always impressed by these right wing twitter celebs who were grandfathered into The Discourse because they were never bold or unapologetic enough to get properly purged by the pre-Elon twitterati.

They have mildly entertaining takes on things like nutrition or technology, but when it comes to sharing their views on critical matters like the burning down of western society and what we need to do to smother the flames, they come out with extraordinary things like the "Competent Boomer" lmao.

I have two friends who I used to hang out with fairly regularly until life got in the way. One of them is about as "far right" as i am and also harbours some other more schizophrenic takes which I find kind of silly. The other is a socialist redditbrain who doesn't really understand things because he has a poor understanding of history and an overtuned empathy motor in his skull, for better or for worse.

Some time around covid's peak, i said to schizofriend not to let redditfriend's dumb opinions on vaccines and immigrants sour his relationship because he's a genuine friend, a kind person, and fraternity triumphs over gay political wankery. I think the emotional upheaval around the nationwide vaccine insanity was getting to schizofriend, and redditfriend playing into the sinister social pressures against the unvaxed at the time wasn't making schizofriend's life much easier. I was facing losing my job too, so i understood the way he felt.

Anyway, i told schizofriend that if the power structure of western society suddenly decided that racism was cool again, suggestible people like redditfriend (who can only operate happily and comfortably in an environment where consensus and power are behind them) would be the first ones out there shaming people for being anti-racist and anti-nationalist. It wasnt to say that he was a bad person, which i know isnt true at all, just that people like him serve a eusocial function in society as enforcers of cultural norms.

If i sat on the ground and did nothing except the basic human needs to stay alive for long enough, if i refused to respond to emails or pay bills or file tax returns, i would eventually end up in prison. There are minimum expectations you have as a productive adult to interface with the state and if you ignore them long enough you will get in trouble at some point.

However, this doesnt apply to protected classes of people who the state de facto recognises as being too fucking useless to actually contribute to society. They're never going to haul a negro or an afghan or an aborigine before the court for failing to pay rates or taxes. Their civil rights and legal provisions may as well fall under nature conservation legislation given the lack of responsibility or accountability that is actually enforced upon them.
