There are approximately 43 million people of working-age in the UK of which 4.4 million are now claiming sickness or incapacity benefit. EU statistics show that around 10‑15% of the European working‑age population is unable to work due to a mental‑health condition.
Why is Streeting ordering a review when UK stats are in line with the European average?
