This fall (i.e., today) I'm joining University of Michigan-Flint as an Associate Professor in the College of Innovation & Technology.

It’s official - our team at Oakland University has been awarded $2.5 million across two grants from the US Army to make foundational advances to rapid prototyping and mixed methods research in VR. I’d say more but it’s literally top secret. :)

Can't wait to work with my colleagues across three departments in our School of Engineering!

We conducted a participatory design study about how VR dating apps could be designed to prevent harm. Consent (how a user agrees to a specific interaction) emerged as a central theme in design concepts. Implications for social VR design more generally.
