Saluton la mondo! Mi ankoraŭ havas pluŝurson de mia infanaĝo. Antaŭ du tagoj mi lavis unuafoje riajn vestaĵojn. La mediprotekto tre gravas al ri - ri ne ŝatas uzigi tro da lesivo.

Saluton al la tuta mondo :) antaŭ nelonge mi havis strangan sonĝon. Ial mi dormis dum tridek jaroj kaj vekiĝis ie en Eŭropo. Mi parolis kun malgranda homgrupo. La etoso estis alia. Granda streĉo inter la EU kaj Usono. Oni ne plu havis la saman riĉecon kiel hodiaŭ (ekz. oni ne plu aŭtostiris) sed la plej mirinda afero: oni ne plu parolis la anglan. Komence mi parolis la germanan kun ili, poste mi probis la francan kaj oni rekonis la lingvon - sed mem eta knabino scipovis Esperanton :)

It won't help. With Esperanto there is no country with an economic interest in propagating the language to increase economic control or dominance

Remember: the UK's second largest industry by revenue is the language.

Children could instead learn a 'native' language and a simple second language, like Esperanto. Then we could all speak with other with minimal effort.

The point of Esperanto is that it is a huge amount easier than English and it doesn't belong to anybody.

A large and ever increasing amount of important information is only or primarily available in English. non-English speakers spend years of their lives learning something that English speakers get for free in order to partake in international conversations.

For everybody else learning English is about being able to understand and contribute to global conversations which are increasingly only being held in English. If you do not spend years of your life learning English you will be excluded from these conversations.

English and American people don't need to do this. They get to spend this time doing other things. This is why I call the politics of mandatory English lessons in school suicidal.

Esperanto would be easier for everybody. But then the English and the Americans would have to compete on a level playing field and we can't have that, can we?
