boy and i started playing #WindWaker (GameCube) last night, and he loves it. i forgot how jaw-droppingly captivating it is. it's like stepping into a storybook, like straight-up playing a cartoon. the island vibes, the solid blue waves washing in and out, the sound of the gulls, it's almost like you can smell the salt water, taste the nasal drip. and Link is so expressive, probably more expressive than in any other #Zelda game.

@jefklak i'm kind of in the same boat as you, and i wrote a long essay on this exact topic. it's loosely about The Elder Scrolls Oblivion and all about nostalgia. you don't have to read it, but figured i'd post it because it aligns very closely with exactly what you're saying and, i suspect, feeling.
