It’s pretty karmic huh.
Humans, lovers of cooking living things for their sensory pleasure are cooking themselves for their own displeasure.

That’s still a potentially renewable resource, as far as the wood itself.
Burning wood produces pretty much exactly as much carbon as it takes to regrow the wood, so give it enough time it should equalize itself within decades… Maybe low triple digits of years…

Not really a fair comparison.
Fossil fuels have been sequestered for tens to hundreds of millions of years and represent additionally hundreds of millions of years of carbon accretion.
And we burn enough fossil fuels that it’s like burning down the entire Amazon rain forest every couple months.
So over a year or so. That’s kind of like burning down every piece of vegetation, and every building, and pretty much anything that’s flammable on the surface of the Earth … burnt to ashes and dust.
How that’s as bad as burning some wood pellets I’m really not sure how you conflate such things…

I could Google this. But I’m just curious what ya think…
What do you think the population of China is?
What do you think the population of Germany is?
Are those numbers not many orders of magnitude different?
Talking shit? Free rides?
What’s the population of America?
And the funny thing about America - if you consider just them and ignore everybody else on the planet - just America’s emissions are not sustainable. And that’s only a few hundred million people. Not billions.
The thing about China, though. They’re leading the world in renewables. And if you had any sense then you’d realize renewables typically only work optimally occasionally. Things like wind power only work when there’s wind. Solar when there’s sun. Whereas coal/oil/gas you can burn 24/7/365 until there’s no more dinosaur corpses or ancient forests left to burn.
You ignore history. The USA - cumulatively - has produced a lot more pollution than China - cumulatively.

I wouldn't call it undermining. China adding coal capacity while scaling renewables is not evidence of hypocrisy. It’s evidence of a system trying to meet rising demand and stabilize a grid during rapid buildout. Both things can be true at once without one cancelling the other.
You think right wing people think? Brrruhhhhh....

So hyperbolic.
VHS was great, for its time. You can record over it again and again, like floppies. Crucially, they were cheap.
The biggest issue was your player. Shitty players liked to eat tapes.
That rewind noise then that sudden stop meant it was movie time! 🍿
No PTSD here. Just good memories.

It matters.
The planet can sustain 10x more people if they live like people in India vs Saudi Arabia or UAE....
It's funny you want to focus on a factor of 5, though. Especially when they still come in dead last after a 5x increase. The average person on earth contributes about 4 tons of GHGs. First world nations are 4x-5x that.

Slash and burn ag is so stupid…
From Wikipedia:
The productivity of the soil following forest removal for farming lasts only a year or two before the fields become infertile and farmers must clear new areas of forest to maintain their income. In 1995, nearly half (48%) of the deforestation in Brazil was attributed to poorer farmers clearing lots under 125 acres (0.51 km2) in size.
They typically grow crops on the land at first, then due to poor soil management it becomes useless for crops so they put cattle on it and burn down more forest to grow more soy or whatever.
Then again. Big picture time… We’re globally releasing enough GHGs that it’s equivalent to burning down the entire Amazon rainforest every two months.

Android used to be a little more diverse.
But it’s been limited to the launcher(shell) mostly.
What do you think are in the best interest of the community that Google isn’t doing? Do you have any less contentious examples? As a technical support specialist I’ve talked to numerous dipshits that were talked into installing a virus on their own Computer system or phone or other device.
Some people are really really really fucking gullible.

Here’s my thoughts.
Hyperfiltration exhausts (overworks, think of it like high blood pressure?) the kidneys.
This causes acceleration and perhaps inducing(de novo) disease.
I know the evidence is quite weak. But there’s so many studies that show it’s making it worse for people with even minor kidney impairment and it just gets worse as it gets worse showing an accelerated momentum effect.

Your phone has to support it. It’s not a Google wall. Your phone maker determines how difficult it easy this is. Google pixels make this really easy to install Graphene on.
