As the result, people have harder time earning a living, especially when the two are combined. The only parties who benefit from this are AI companies, hence "screwing people"
Enshittificafion is not just price hikes, that definitely comes sooner or later: it's reducing product quality for the sake of profit. In that regard, I don't think they will intentionally cut corners with AI chatbots and whatnot.
