Got cold-emailed by someone launching what can only be described as "p-hacking as a service", of course based on "AI", to find all meaningless correlations in a data set to juice them for the last bit.

I liked the world better when https://www.tylervigen.com/spurious-correlations was poking some good fun at correlation fishing-expeditions, instead of using the same principle to make money and garbage 'science'… 🤷

Fellow #Wikimedia Commons contributors: I've gotten to the point where the web upload form feels a bit cumbersome. What are your favorite alternatives to get images up? As i also put them on Flickr, good tools to copy from Flickr to WM Commons are an option too.

My files come out of Darktable and have 'title' & 'description' tags set already.

Instead, scrapers use thousands of residential IP addresses to query the service at zero benefit over the data dumps. The people creating these systems understand as little as the "AI" they create.
