I've been really enjoying Umbrella, a Pandasaurus game for 1-4 players, ages 8 and up. An easy to learn ruleset hides a very thinky puzzley game that is a lot like those sliding tile puzzles, with some twists. Interesting interaction between players, fantastic art and components, variation in setup and scoring providing lots of replayability.

These are super high quality trays that have clearly been designed and printed with a keen eye for detail and the needs of modern board gaming.  Plastigons seem to be made with a higher quality of plastic and none of them have any of that annoying texture that you sometimes get with 3D printed accessories.

Touria is an under-rated fairy-tale, fantasy game about collecting gems, gold and displays of bravery and affection (in the form of hearts) to win the hand of the princess or prince in the castle. 

Besides the charm of the art and theme,  the game has a unique tower action selection mechanism that I've never seen implemented quite the same way before or since and that can be utilized in a very investing amd strategic way.

Like many people, I created my own homemade version of the game, Cash and Guns, with a Reservoir Dogs retheme. This is the logo/box I created.

Each player gets a character from the movie and a fake gun (from the dollar store). We are competing for fake acrylic diamonds (from the dollar store), pulled from a small leather bag.

I don't know what my favourite roll-and-write or flip-and-write game is. It changes so often. There are so many excellent ones. Rolling Realms, Welcome To..., Ganz Schon Clever, Encore, Qwix, Divvy Dice are all up there with this one:  Dizzle. There is something so satisfying when a game of Dizzle "comes together" in just the right way for you.  

What is your favorite #RollAndWrite game?

Dog Park by @birdwoodgames is a very fun board game about recruiting dogs and taking them for a walk. The game is as charming and calming as that sounds. Easy to learn rules with a simple yetvery interesting bidding mechanism. Tons of cards with beautiful doggy artwork.
