As someone with a fairly decent amount of educational trauma, a skill I had to work hard to relearn as an adult was handling criticism -- especially correction -- in a thoughtful way. Not only regarding feedback on my work or writing, but also in my posts and statements on all sorts of things.

I have always liked (micro)blogging because it allows me to do something I often do with my friends -- be extremely opinionated about a whole bunch of different subjects! But sometimes I am half-remembering shit I read in a book or heard in a lecture more than a decade ago and I'm hilariously wrong!

With some old friends tonight we got to talking about how some don't handle being corrected when wrong well at all, and because of my experience I do think this is a widespread outcome of education (school and otherwise) that could become genuinely abusive when you got an answer wrong.
