Good morning fedi. Happy International Women’s Day - and also the 7th anniversary of my starting hrt

I’m an international woman and so can you, as the saying goes :transgender_flag:

Crow Friend has been watching me through the window for four or five minutes now, as I sit back in my chair focused on my phone. I’m not going to try for a photo because I don’t want to disturb them - this is the longest they’ve stuck around :crowCaw:

Today’s card is the Six of Cups - past and present, connected. Sometimes memories are a gift from the past to the present, bringing remembered warmth and safety. Sometimes it’s the other way around. What does your inner child have to say to you today? What are they offering and what do they need?

I love my girlfriends very much and I feel so lucky to have them in my life, along with a lovely queer polycule.

Today’s card is the Five of Wands - conflict, rivalry, the joy of action. The fiery energy of Wands leads to conflict, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Friendly sparring, a small action that tests our skills, exploring a dialectic - whatever you find joy in is good. Just take care to keep sight of your goals and don’t get locked into conflict as a way of life

Every time I read one of those throat-clearing preambles about queer historiography and the need not to impose modern labels on people of the past I find myself thinking: “Why the fuck shouldn’t you? No one hesitates or reflects for a moment when the narrative’s cisheteronormative”

Today’s card is the High Priestess again. People who know only action never get a chance to reflect on what the action has taught them. People who know only words can only engage with what they have words to describe. Those who insist they see the light see nothing else. The High Priestess keeps the mysteries of the unconscious that we learn from passivity, silence, and darkness. It is not that we are forbidden to pass beyond her veil; it is just that without the practices she teaches, we cannot know how
