today an important cornerstone towards implementing FEP-0837 in #flohmarkt has been finished: i overhauled the backend of the currency system. Each currency now relies on a single global identifier in the form of an URL. We hope for most of these to be URLs to #wikidata entities in the future but of course we did not compromise the ability to have free-form currencies. When a user creates a free-form currency, there will be a URL for that instance.

Anscheinend ist #flohmarkt mittlerweile großgenug um seine erste eigene Phishingwelle zu bekommen. Die Betrüger scheinen es im deutschsprachigen Raum auf Kontodaten abgesehen zu haben.
1. Liebe User: Wenn euch jemand auf #flohmarkt auffordert, zur Bestätigung eures Accounts Eure Konto-/Kreditkartendaten auf einer verlinkten Seite einzugeben, ist das ein Betrugsversuch. Seriöse Flohmarktadmins wollen sowas *NIE* von euch wissen.

@fabio why is there such a discrepancy between the south and the north of an imaginary line drawn between Napoli and Taranto? Seems like the north of that line had it significantly much worse.

it comes with new shiny things such as OAuth2 support, a redesigned item page, a new HTTP caching middleware for better cache busting and a ton of bugfixes!

today, the #flohmarkt software has witnessed its first login via #OIDC #Oauth2. A keycloak installation served as the identity provider. This marks the beginning of the end of our integrate-more-auth-backends saga!
