And just like the first image, many of the words in second image are rarely if ever used by the generation being stereotyped and are more often used by older generations to do the stereotyping, inventing a largely imagined culture for the generation they're completely out of touch with.

It’s a boomer world, you are just living in it.

But finally, they’re dying in it. Today the youngest boomers are 62 and the oldest are 80. Over the next two decades we will watch as their numbers finally wane, and hopefully with it the monopolizing stranglehold they have over society.

Yeah cross-state county annexation fantasies happen anywhere that a blue state borders a red state. They'd never happen, not only would the donor state have to willingly give up perfectly good land and taxpayers and the recipient state accept, the federal government would have to approve the change.

Cox Media Group got kicked off Google's ad partner program a few years ago when 404 Media scooped that they had a feature called CMG Active Listening which did exactly this. They had a slide deck. Audio spying by advertisers is like doping in pro sports, everybody does it and you only get caught if you're stupid. Remember back in 2013 a whistleblowing NSA contractor told us to put our phones in the fridge if we wanted to have a secret conversation? He had a slide deck, too. The western world is run by a cult of pedophiles, the fact that our phones listen in on us without our consent is not a stretch.

Luciferian Towers is my jam, Anthem For No State III hits me hard in the catharsis every time. FYI Bandcamp is owned by Epic (Of Unreal and Fortnite), but notable enshittification has not yet begun. The site still lets you play unpurchased audio in full (A certain number of times), offers DRM-free formats after purchase in perpetuity, shares 80-85% of music and merch sales with the artist, doesn’t nag you to use their app when you’re on their site, and runs several weekly radio shows spotlighting new releases.

So yeah, zero mention of rocks. And I wouldn't take the fact that the cops went to the hospital as evidence of anything, that is very by the book whenever NYPD wants to claim assault on an officer.

Dividing up your internal regulating voices like this to figure out how you can tweak that conversation for a more productive outcome is actually a legitimate method in therapy. Doing so helped me bring my weed habit down to sustainable levels. My therapist didn’t label them after my disorders like this but now that I think of it, he sure could have.

I meant that lightheartedly, though I do think that doing 5+ year grows on agricultural lots for purely gimmick purposes isn’t too great, at least from a resource management and ecology standpoint. I’m not here to argue against christmas trees though, I just think LePoisson’s rebuttal that one instance of a thing isn’t a problem because we do lots of instances of that thing is logically flawed. I’m here to argue against the logic, not the trees.

In fact from what I’ve picked up over the years it’s kind of a meme in finance ie, “The price of X follows the return of the McRib!” when really both X and the McRib are just driven by the same larger economic factors and not by each other.
