Arqiva uses an "odd" wireless protocol for smart meters and finds out it doesn't work in real life. Unlike Telefonica using standardised and reliable 2G/3G. The Netherlands had similar experience with CDMA vs 2G/3G/4G for smart meters. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cq52382zd1no

Studenten Net @utwente@social.edu.nl celebrates 30 years! It brought 10Mbps Internet to each room on campus in 1994, 100Mbps in 1998. Here I learned Internet policy as vice-chair. This weekend they host an IPv6 ping event with 40Gbps! https://pings.utwente.io #RIPE89 #NLNOG #Nanog
