지금 막 생각이 들었는데 금융권에서 제 신변을 최근에 위협한 이유를 알 것 같아요. 세상은 위험한 곳이고 저와 같은 위험인자도 마찬가지로 스스로를 자중시키지 않으면 안된다는 경고를 주고 싶었을 겁니다. 아무도 아무에게도 제대로 된 보상을 주지 않는 나라가 한국이고 가장 큰 보상을 받는 개인은 오히려 가장 자신의 무례를 입증하는 개인이라는 걸 말해주고 싶었을 겁니다. 그게 진짜 한국적 정서라면 정서라고 할 수 있겠습니다.

새벽에 빨래나 해야겠어요. 이 동네는 이상하게도 새벽에 빨래를 하건 설거지를 하건 집에서 울건 샤워하다 뒤로 자빠지건 새벽에 탈출해서 양곰탕을 사먹건 편의점으로 탈출해서 별 희안한 것들을 구매하건 아무도 돕거나 불필요한 말을 걸지 않습니다. 심지어 약물과용으로 응급실에 가도 최소한의 기초 처치만을 받을 뿐입니다. 그거 하나는 좋은 거 같아요. 제가 잘못한 게 있다면 향정 때문에 너무 잠을 많이 자는 삶을 살아왔다는 게 아닐까요 그래서 이런 식으로 이상한 방식으로 야근을 해서 호주머니에 코묻은 돈 집어넣듯 생활을 해야 하는 저주를 받은 게 분명해요
