I remember looking into LaTeX when I was working for a small magazine. But it didn't seem flexible enough for non-academic layouting

Premiere -> KDEnlive
Indesign -> Scribus
Though Scribus is a little hard to love tbh. Also try Olive 0.2, I don't think it's ready for prod but it's really neat
@eris@merveilles.town Maybe this will finally spur someone into making an alternative with a better UI
Mirage 3.5 is out today! Mirage is a landscaping suite for Blender.
Check out what's new here:
@bleakgrey@mastodon.social AFAIK If you want to restore windows on Wayland you'll have to wait until this is accepted (and implemented in the shell)
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/wayland/wayland-protocols/-/merge_requests/18
@tbernard@mastodon.social Agreed with a caveat. Broken or not, depends on what the user wants. If what the user wants is to build a UI for himself, then a scriptable/themeable UI is not really broken.
On the other hand for GNOME's audience it would be
Cycles is 10 years old today!

@nahuelwexd@floss.social uhhh que bien que se ve esooo
Asi tendria que ser el shell de entrada

We use a custom GtkTextView for something similar in GTG. It's not easy but it's doable, and probably safer than a web view

(and the tags are here: https://github.com/getting-things-gnome/gtg/blob/master/GTG/gtk/editor/text_tags.py)
@bleakgrey@mastodon.social that looks even better than the web client

Flathub is awesome, great work everyone!
"no consideration of social- or economic freedoms in this conceptual framework"
LMAO that's rich. I come from a country where people with your kind of ideology have banned us all from buying foreign currency to protect ourselves from crushing inflation among other things. But I'm sure some spoiled first world brat knows better about the true value of economic freedom.
Don't worry I've realized I'm wasting my time with you. Good luck, I hope you get what you want
@dgold@todon.nl @mattl@xoxo.zone
So freedom of thought and speech is BS? Freedom is the whole foundation of **free** software. Policed opinions and self-censorship as you cancel people are trying to install are the complete opposite of FOSS.
@mattl@xoxo.zone
Disgusting. I don't agree with his opinions but he should be allowed to have them like anyone else. You want to cancel and get him kicked out of the foundation *he started* just because you don't like his opinions?
Even mastodon itself wouldn't exist if it wasn't for RMS. Sad he has to be abused this way after all the work he put over the last
~40 years
Things like this make me want to drop out of FOSS and not spend another minute contributing
Finally getting close to releasing Mirage 3.5! The feature list is monstruous O_O
