What’s your recommended (and currently relevant) reading about typographic design for the web, particularly evaluating and choosing typefaces? A friend asked me this, and I thought y’all would have better answers than I do.

Btw, in the interest of historical accuracy: I realized after posting that this screenshot is probably Fontographer, whereas the photo I posted after was taken later and shows RoboFog onscreen, after I made the switch. 🎓

#introduction: I run the small type foundry XYZ Type (https://xyztype.com) with @benkiel@typo.social, where we make typefaces (retail and custom), and lettering (mostly logotypes for branding agencies). I live in Beacon, NY, a short train ride from Manhattan, near lots of good hiking spots. I’ll probably be pretty quiet here.
