Another evening wasted trying to explain basketball tactics to the cat. I'm starting to think this is pointless.

I had endeavoured to draw a silly little doodle to lighten the afternoon but a cat is sitting on it, so sorry.
Current reply
@troberts@theblower.au One must pay the cat pat tax to access the doodle.

#auspol #Perth I've got plenty of rude things to say about Labor, but when it comes to a choice between Labor and Liberal/National, only Labor will deliver infrastructure that benefits ordinary people.

Computers no doubt improve our productivity. But, I wonder how much productivity is lost due to constant software updates?

I’ve successfully clipped the cat’s claws, but now I’m covered in fur and he’s activated berserker mode.

@troberts@theblower.au I would love to clip my cat's claws, but I fear that would end in both of us covered in blood.

@jillL@theblower.au If I don’t clip them, he tends to keep getting them stuck in the carpet and the couch. I do find the guillotine-style clippers much easier to use than the scissor-style.

@troberts@theblower.au My cat gets her claws stuck in my shirt and then looks at me like: "why do you trap me here, Mother?"

The 'AI Plan for the Australian Public Service 2025' is gonna have aged like milk by this time next year. https://www.digital.gov.au/policy/ai/australian-public-service-ai-plan-2025 #auspol
Current reply
@troberts@theblower.au My experience with the public service is that they have purged anyone with any sort of expertise, so now have to hire consultants for even the most basic analysis or technical advice, which they hate. So, I can understand the appeal of being able to ask a machine to magic up answers, instead.
#AI will, of course, end up being even worse than hiring the mediocre big consulting firms for everything.
