Top Arizona lawmaker says he's complied with a subpoena for 2020 election records
The FBI subpoenaed Arizona Senate President Warren Petersen for records from the 2020 Maricopa County election audit...a review that was already discredited and had confirmed Biden's win. Petersen says he complied and the FBI now has the records.
This follows a similar FBI seizure of Georgia election materials in January, also based on debunked claims. Key concerns: it looks like a pattern of federal law enforcement being used to relitigate a settled election, the targeting is selective (legislators, not the county that ran the election), and the FBI isn't explaining what it's actually investigating.
Dunno, seems...problematic.

The War Powers Resolution of 1973 was meant to limit presidential war-making by requiring the president to notify Congress within 48 hours of deploying troops and to end the action within 60 days unless Congress approves it.
In practice, it failed to stop the drift of power to the presidency because:
Presidents of both parties routinely bypass or reinterpret it.
Congress rarely enforces it or cuts funding to stop military operations.
Broad authorizations (like the 2001 and 2002 AUMFs) give presidents legal cover to act without new approval.

Those not questioning Trump's war in Iran fall into two camps: people who don’t know what’s actually happening, and people who still trust Trump in roughly the same numbers as the MaGA base. Many still don't know we're IN a war, apparently
What many of them are missing is that the situation is already shifting. Russia appears to be providing Iran with targeting intelligence, and Iranian strikes are becoming more accurate and effective.
That changes the nature of the conflict. It stops being a simple U.S.–Iran confrontation and starts looking more like a proxy confrontation involving Russia.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Putin giving Iran targeting logistics:
"Who cares?"
The result is a strategic trap: the U.S. risks getting pulled into a widening conflict while one of its main adversaries can influence the battlefield indirectly without openly entering the war.
Most public discussion is still focused on the initial decision to strike Iran.
The more important question now is who else is shaping the battlefield and why.
