Michael Riesch is now talking about upstreaming progress for rockchip camera support at FOSDEM in the open media room.

A very exciting release bringing in GPU acceleration for the SoftISP just in time for FOSDEM \o/

gpuISP just got merged to libcamera, so now we can achieve 30FPS on platforms even where we can't control the hardware ISP.

A substantial release with 211 commits. Highlights include a new global configuration system, V4L2 Request API support, and major improvements to the i.MX8MP dewarper with full resize, scale, rotate and crop capabilities. SoftISP gains IPU7 support, while Raspberry Pi tuning has been updated for IMX335, IMX415, IMX462 and VD55G1, and the Pi 5 now supports decompanding.
