Well, I really enjoy your posts. And I really enjoyed your previous book. Very succinct, to the point, and yet so informative while keeping it very practical and relatable (as in "not scary and understandable"). Also, your background and experience gives more cred than it is needed.

This is my perception of you, and this is why I bought it instantly, confident.

And you don't disappoint at all. This is your best yet. Each page could be the topic of a conference talk. I can't recommend it enough.

Congratulations and bravo. Keep sharing, keep writing, you are a beacon in our community.

@kalleboo imagine if @jrose's swift compiler for MacOS (classic) wasn't an experiment but a real thing, we could suggest writing this in Swift for better and safer memory management 😅 ... or, just to fully fit in the 90's, rewrite it jn Java and enjoy your Mac being totally frozen and unresponsive while the GC runs 🙃

@dimillian Congratulations. The Codex app is already great, but between you and @steipete (and the rest of team), I couldn't be happier and more excited about the future of the tooling you'll push forward to our benefit 🤗 selfishly happy in addition of happy for you. Hopefully you still find time to work on your open source projects, I have enjoyed so much reading your posts and your code over the years. 🙏

@siracusa given the number of Apple employees and ex-employees with Mastodon accounts I would have hoped to see (a long time ago already) Apple hosting their own instance for their employees or at the very least for their institutional accounts 😞 shame. Same goes for French public radio. I don't understand the hurdle, it makes far more sense for them to be in control of their social media platform in a federated environment rather than relying on the centralized ones of X/Insta/Bluesky. My company doesn't have a social media presence. If we were to have one, it would be through Mastodon with our own instance. (This is something we frequently question and evaluate)
