The evening’s #coffee pick: given that I got a late start this evening, I went with decaf. I got into my stash for some Starbux brand House Blend, said to have cocoa and toffee notes. Not much aroma from the bag (no surprise, since I have no idea how long it’s been in my stash; I guess I need to start indulging in evening decaf more!). Into the #espresso machine it went. Slightly more aroma while brewing, some light chocolatey notes. Flavored with a dash of English toffee syrup, packed with ice and topped off with some white chocolate mocha creamer. The blend still has some life in it! Nice tasty way to spend a Sunday evening watching library DVDs.

Today’s #coffee pick: got into my stash for some Eight o’Clock brand hazelnut (mainly due to an unexpected excess of hazelnut creamer). Nice nutty, mildly sweet aroma from the bag. Into the #espresso machine it went. Less of an aroma while brewing, but still nice and mildly sweet. Flavored with a dash of hazelnut syrup, packed with ice and topped off with the first round of hazelnut creamer. I might need another round, if only to offset my excess creamer. Nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon marathoning library DVDs. Happy first day of meteorological spring. Rabbit rabbit!

Today’s #coffee pick: Steep & Brew brand Icing on the Cake, said to be buttery with a hint of cinnamon. An excuse to being out my brown sugar cinnamon syrup! Very sweet, sugary aroma from the bag. Into the #espresso machine it went. Less of an aroma while brewing, but still mildly sweet. Smaller mug means different proportions than usual. Less ice, less creamer (sugar cookie flavored), which still works fine. Very nice earthy taste to this one. Delish! Fine way to spend a Sunday afternoon/evening huddled inside waiting out the snow. Because winter isn’t done yet, and it’s sure letting us know it.

#Grog sighting in Elkhart today. They seem to be clustered together in the corner. Perhaps one of them has found something. Let’s see if we can get close enough to spot it.

Do I have a skull fixation? Perhaps. But at least I’m getting hydrated.

Today’s #coffee pick: got into my stash for some Eight O’ Clock brand hazelnut, as I had some hazelnut creamer to use up. Little did I know how much trouble it would be.

Okay, let me tell you. This lunch was an absolute mess. While my food baked in the toaster oven, I was making my coffee selection, and in so doing managed to knock over a bottle of butterscotch beer I was saving. And it went EVERYWHERE. All over my foot (thankfully I didn’t get hit by any glass), all over the floor, and goddammit, my butterbeer!

So while my food cooked, instead of merrily brewing coffee, I had a royal mess to clean up.

During which I somehow managed to knock over ANOTHER bottle, this one grape soda. Thankfully this one didn’t break, but only popped open, still spilling grape stuff all over the floor I had just started cleaning.

As you can imagine, at this point a good number of swear words had been utilized. Meanwhile my coffee was not getting brewed, and my lunch was sitting in the toaster oven waiting for me to hurry my plump ass up.

I FINALLY got the floor to a suitable state, and FINALLY got my coffee going. I was gratified by a nice nutty aroma from the bag. Into the #espresso machine it gratefully went. Less of an aroma while brewing, but I was fricking invested now, so it was all good. Flavored with a dash of hazelnut syrup, packed with ice and topped off with the last of the hazelnut creamer and some caramel creamer that also needed using up.

Let me tell you, my lovelies, I was never so happy to be sitting down with a nice cup of iced coffee. May your lunch prep be easier on you than mine was on me. Salud!
