I'm watching youtube videos on compiler design, and...the presentation is terrible. I watched someone spend ten minutes explaining something using a graph and step-by-step walking of the graph (and a bit of explanation of a bunch of rules), and it would have taken half the time to put a timeline on the screen and show the effects and side-effects on the timeline. And that would have opened up enough time to work a half dozen more examples using the same graphics.
I'm really, really tempted to do better...
