My second creation after BreatheBar is my dream music app, which I call Melur -- https://melur.app. A week of vibe coding in, over 15k lines of Swift, it supports a bunch of music formats including a bunch of retro formats, iCloud synced playlists, music discovery, and more to come.

This power is addicting, I can't stop building. All of this functionality is just me prompting in my spare time, it's not even full time work.

Software as a concept is becoming radically different, now that we can build practically 6 months of work and semi-finished products in a few days. What of SaaS when anyone can build a custom dashboard without coding skills in a few prompts?

On the other hand, all software makers have the same power at their fingertips, including SaaS makers. One outcome might be vastly more powerful software, ones that takes years to build _with_ these tools, decades without.

So I've been incredibly skeptical of AI… but I think it's time for me to relent 😅

Claude built this app in the background yesterday while I was doing other work. I nudged it when it was writing bad code towards better solutions. But mostly I didn't write a single line. The web site took literally 30 seconds to build, it took longer to make the tiny video clips, or write the readme.

This is one of the most insane/genius sentence I’ve read in a while. I had a similar project way back that I called ”reverse cyborg”, but it only used 8 signals to communicate bytes through touch.

Designing it with Tobias Ahlin and then building it with the rest of the iOS team at Spotify was a blast. App design was just so pretty and fun in that era. I miss it so bad, all that care for subtle detail and quality interactions.
