Darrell Edward Issa - U.S. representative for California's 48th congressional district. A representative who actually cares about right to repair.
Read here for excerpt from congress hearings.
There is a special place in hell for those who paywall a wheelchair.
See the github page by @elfy@chaos.social and a talk given at Chaos Communications Congress for more info.

I modified the code of Maelstrom (1992) video game. I got a special variant of it so if the player picks up an ACME canister the effects are preserved across deaths. Call me a cheater if you wish.
This variant is more fun to play.
Jack Phillips was the senior wireless operator on the R.M.S. Titanic. He repaired the spark gap transmitter despite the Marconi company protocols. This allows the crew to send distress signals next night.
Marconi longterm polity requires complex on-ship equipment to be repaired at port by a technician. Jack Phillips was acting in defiance, thus saving lives.
There is a common misconception that critical equipment shall be repaired by manufacturer only. Actually, the world would be much better if there were repair manuals and parts for everything.
Mastodon Aliases and Migration 101.
The purpose of the move mechanism is to move followers (not posts) to the new Mastodon server.
You are locking up your old account and set a redirection to a new one.
It does not solve the concern of a Mastodon node go offline unexpectedly. Your old server must be online to confirm the move.
Also, move is irreversible. Think before pushing.
If your old node is announced to go offline permanently, its admin will probably advise you to migrate your followers.
I tell it is a move because old server will dispatch an ActivityPub 'move' method to other servers where your followers are.
@Herne@corteximplant.net thank you for your node.
I think skyjake - the author of lagrange gemini viewer - must add automatic page archiver to save the nodes that go offline.
