Today, Kyoto has reminded us that we are not like our fellow travelers: The young Scandinavian girl who tried to shame us for talking quietly on a train with a local; the obnoxious American woman who stomped right past the slippers and shoe storage area at the entrance to the Raku museum and then later demanded the staff call her a taxi; the loud Chicagoans bragging about how they bought the wrong tickets for a train from CDG to Versailles & argued with the station police until they let them go.
