Thinking about how all the (older?) e-ink Kindles used the off-the-shelf Adobe RMSDK as the ebook rendering engine, but then Amazon excised the EPUB support out of pure unbridled malice.
Like, EPUB support was free, it was already part of the software, they wouldn't have had to do anything special to support it for manually transferred books
