@gedeonm@mastodon.social I can’t believe I’m saying this, but—I hope they hang on for as long as possible. It would be infinitely preferable for them to retire or die in office under a Democratic administration. It’s hard to imagine SCOTUS justices more venal and blatantly ideological than those two, but Trump would absolutely find them and appoint them—and it would take much, much longer to dislodge them.
But yeah, they’ll probably retire specifically to give Trump that chance. 🙄
