@dfyx @frameworkcomputer you know that's a super boring rhetoric, and yet I end up taking the time to answer you … yes I use some Mastodon fork using RoR (congrats you've been so smart to notice that!), and I believe that doesn't invalidate my point, not only because RoR is no longer just the DHH thingy (the same as Emacs is not an RMS toy project, and so it's not about “don't use Emacs” but “I don't want the FSF to have much decision power in this project development or fork” kind of dynamics) VS Omarchy that's literally DHH opinionated personal config … or because it's not the same to be an unhappy customer of the official communication of a brand than telling your friends not to use hyprland … but saying “all publics figures have drama” is so dumb and understating of the truth, no not “all peoples are the same”, e.g., Linus Torvald isn't perfect, but in no reality he had the same kind of full-on unfiltered racist discourse that DHH choose to publicly display on his blog, which is his political statement to do so, I guess he can assume the consequences of trying to be purposely controversial (I'm sure he believes he's smart too)…
