@veit Worse, LinkedIn randomly locks out accounts and requires the owner to provide ID in order to unlock it (and "prove they are human"). Citation: It happened to my account. Other options to verify are filing an affidavit and using a work email address, so providing ID isn't the only option. But not everyone has a work email setup. Moreover, I don't know how they handle the account name not being a person's legal name (e.g. trans people in states which don't let them change their name).
