@nixCraft I adopted a three strike rule almost 10 years ago from a specific job/team. If you don't respond to me for three days in a row without some kind of out of office notice then your ticket is closed. No company I've worked for since has had a solid procedure on this so I've just kept carrying this process into new roles.
