The fear among investors : AI will replace humans, billing hours will drop to zero & IT companies like IBM will go to >/dev/null
The reality: High stakes systems that runs banks, airlines, govts cannot just let a "black-box AI" rewrite their core code without massive oversight, testing, and human accountability. Otherwise, everyone will lose their money/pension/ investments.
What a mess. It is like there is no common sense left in this world 😂

Just like 2008 had "Subprime Mortgages (or "Dot Com" crash) that nobody understood, 2026 has "Circular AI Revenue" deals. Ex: Microsoft gives money to OpenAI, who gives it back to Microsoft for Azure credits, which Microsoft then reports as "AI Growth".
Microsoft and Nvidia fund AI startups that buy their own tech back to report "growth." With $600b burning in data centers in 2026 alone but no real revenue to back it up.
If that loop snaps, the "fuck up" will be massive.

* Stealing journalist, book authors, or artists’ work

* The list list endless and you have to be psychopaths to like this

Linuxulator, is a mechanism to run unmodified Linux binaries under FreeBSD. It does not involve virtual machines or emulation; instead, it provides the binaries with kernel interfaces identical to those provided by a real Linux kernel[1]

Amazon service (AWS) was taken down by AI coding bot named Kiro

In one incident in December, engineers at AWS allowed its in-house Kiro “agentic” coding tool to make changes that sparked a 13-hour disruption, according to four sources familiar with the matter. The AI, ill-fatedly, had decided to “delete and recreate the environment,” the sources said.

Historically, the high effort required to contribute to FLOSS acted as a natural filter for quality. AI tools have now removed that barrier, allowing low quality, "plausible-looking" contributions to flood projects. To adapt, open source must shift from an implicit trust model to an explicit trust model, where known maintainers vouch for contributors to ensure quality and accountability.
