@kechpaja My acoustic and auditory phonetics training has been a big help for me, as well as sociolinguistics and pragmatics.
But there are challenges, since singing teachers and speech pathologists use terminology that can be wildly different from that used by linguists - and even from that used by their colleagues. "Head voice" is a notable one!
