@flargh the teacher I remember actually giving a damn, and noticed my abilities, was the programming teacher in junior year. She let me skip the first class (VB6), and go straight to the advanced class (c++) for senior year.

I’m not saying she’s the reason I do programming today (I think it was the thing I gravitated to anyway), but it surely didn’t hurt.
